About the Instructor

Ravi Prakash Jha

Ravi Prakash Jha

Statistician cum Tutor, Department of Community Medicine
Dr. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Medical College & Hospital, Delhi

Mr. Jha has nearly 8 years of teaching and research experience in Biostatistics and Epidemiology. He is currently in charge of the Statistical Unit at Dr. BSA Medical College & Hospital, where he teaches MBBS students and serves as a member of multiple institutional scientific research committees. His expertise spans disease modelling, vaccine-preventable diseases, clinical trial methodologies, demographic and health survey research, and advanced statistical software including SPSS, STATA, R, and QGIS.

An active researcher with over 120 publications (including as a GBD Senior Collaborator), his h-index is 81 and i10-index is 102. He has been invited as a resource person for national-level workshops and certificate courses on biostatistics, research methodology, and data analysis. He holds an M.Sc. in Health Statistics (BHU), Master of Population Studies (IIPS, Mumbai), and is currently pursuing a PhD in Statistics on vaccine-preventable disease burden in India at Banasthali Vidyapith University.

Ravi has also received fellowships and awards including UGC-JRF, UGC-NET, and the J.R. Rele Medal for best research paper during his MPS program.
